Torchlight March in Berlin Supports Palestinians

(MENAFN) On Tuesday, demonstrators convened in Germany’s capital for a torchlit procession to show solidarity with Palestinians, voicing opposition to Israel’s ongoing assaults on the Gaza Strip.

The assembly began at Hohenstaufen Square in Berlin’s Kreuzberg neighborhood, where participants carried lanterns and candles while marching toward the Hallesches Tor subway station.

Waving Palestinian flags, the crowd raised slogans such as "Terrorist Israel" and "freedom for Palestine," expressing their demands vocally.

Participants also leveled criticism at the German government for its backing of Israel in the conflict.

Since October 2023, Israel has reportedly killed nearly 70,700 people in Gaza, the majority being women and children, and injured over 171,000, leaving much of the enclave in ruins.
