Peter Müllner

Peter Müllner, a Professor in the Micron School of Materials Science and Engineering at Boise State University since 2004, began integrating general education topics into his teaching in 2012 and has since become increasingly active in interdisciplinary education. He has shared the classroom for over 30 semesters with colleagues in History, Philosophy, Neuroscience, and Psychology, exploring the intersections between engineering and the humanities and social sciences. His recent work focuses on the sustainability of material resources and the importance of responsible domestic mining. Committed to connecting technical education with societal relevance, he seeks to inspire in his students a sense of purpose that aligns their careers with the needs of the world around them.
