Palestinian Casualties, Limited Aid Mark Aftermath of Israel’s War
(MENAFN) At least 70,366 Palestinians have lost their lives and 171,064 have been wounded during Israel’s genocidal war since October 2023, according to a statement issued Tuesday by the Health Ministry.
The ministry reported that six previously wounded Palestinians died from their injuries over the past day in Gaza.
Hostilities were paused following a ceasefire arrangement that began on Oct. 10, temporarily halting the Israeli offensive.
Data from Gaza’s Government Media Office indicates that, despite the ceasefire, no fewer than 386 individuals have been killed and 980 more hurt as a result of Israeli military actions.
Regarding humanitarian access, the media office noted that an average of 226 relief trucks have been permitted to enter Gaza each day—significantly fewer than the minimum of 600 trucks that Israel is obligated to allow under the terms of the ceasefire.
The first stage of the agreement incorporates the exchange of Israeli captives for Palestinian detainees, and the broader plan envisions reconstructing Gaza and creating a new administrative framework that excludes Hamas.
