Amman, Dec. 5 (Petra)-- Tens of thousands of Palestinians prayed at the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday despite barriers and limitations placed on worshipers by Israeli occupation authorities.
According to Palestinian media reports, the Islamic Awqaf Department in occupied Jerusalem reported that 60,000 people offered Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Old City, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the streets of Jerusalem were extensively guarded by occupation authorities, who stopped dozens of worshipers as they arrived and checked their identification.
In order to block worshipers' access to the mosque and keep many young men from getting there, the military built dozens of metal barriers around the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
