Turkish radio frequency jamming systems to safeguard UN vehicles

(MENAFN) A Turkish defense firm’s advanced radio frequency jamming systems are set to bolster the protection of UN armored vehicles operating across Africa, according to general statements from company representatives.

Aser Technology, known for its work in satellite communication and radar solutions, secured the UN contract after competing against several international bidders and has since finalized the shipment of the required equipment.

General Manager Ertan Murat explained that the firm specializes in tactical electronic warfare systems designed to counter threats such as drone attacks and remotely triggered improvised explosive devices. He noted that the latest project showcases how far the company has pushed its jamming capabilities on the global stage.

“We served the Turkish Armed Forces in jammer projects for over 20 years and we developed new jamming technologies that meet the conditions and needs of the real field,” he said.

Emphasizing the breadth of the system’s capabilities, Murat added: “Our offerings can jam effectively across the entire spectrum, including 4.5G and 5G systems, drones, and GNSS (global navigation satellite system) frequency bands, with a much wider range.”
