Turkish RF Jammers Equip UN Vehicles in Africa

(MENAFN) Turkish defense enterprise Aser Technology’s radio frequency (RF) jammer systems are set to be installed in armored vehicles operating within UN missions across Africa, according to a company official.

Aser Technology—known for its work in satellite communication solutions and radar technologies—secured the UN contract for supplying RF jammers for African deployments, surpassing numerous international rivals, and has now finalized all shipments.

Ertan Murat, the general manager of Aser Technology, told a news agency that the firm develops tactical-grade electronic warfare jamming equipment that can counter remote controlled improvised explosive devices (IEDs) as well as unmanned aerial vehicles.

Murat noted that the organization elevated its forward thinking and highly effective RF jamming capabilities to top global standards through this notable initiative.

“We served the Turkish Armed Forces in jammer projects for over 20 years and we developed new jamming technologies that meet the conditions and needs of the real field,” he said.

“Our offerings can jam effectively across the entire spectrum, including 4.5G and 5G systems, drones, and GNSS (global navigation satellite system) frequency bands, with a much wider range,” he added.
