Srinagar- A key bridge in Chadoora, a busy town in Budgam district, was closed to all traffic this week after engineers declared it unsafe.
The structure connects Srinagar with Charar-e-Sharif, Yousmarg and several parts of Pulwama.
ADVERTISEMENTThe shutdown has forced commuters through narrow village roads and deepened concern about winter travel.
Dr. Raja Muzaffar Bhat, who heads the J&K RTI Movement, said the damage to the central pillar became visible over the past two weeks.
