“There are 40 injured persons in Dnipro as of this moment. The vast majority are in hospitals. Unfortunately, 11 of the wounded are in serious condition,” the statement reads.
Search-and-rescue operations have now been completed.
As earlier reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, four people were rescued. Emergency crews extinguished all fires. A four-storey office building and 49 vehicles were damaged.
Head of Dnipro City Administration Borys Filatov told journalists at the scene that the Russians struck the city center with a ballistic missile.
The number of people requiring hospitalization is still unknown. Filatov also urged residents to limit movement on city roads when explosions are heard or when an air-raid alert is in effect. Due to heavy traffic, SES, ambulance, and emergency vehicles are unable to reach the strike sites quickly.
