Enemy Attempts To Advance Toward Vovchansk, Activity Decreases In Kupiansk Area - Trehubov
"Unfortunately, activity remains high in the Kharkiv region. The Russians show no inclination to reduce their efforts or overall intensity, actively trying to advance in the South Slobozhansky direction, primarily in the city of Vovchansk, and actively storming in the Lyman direction. Activity has decreased slightly compared to what it was in Velykoburlutsk and directly in the city of Kupiansk," Trehubov said.
He noted that the biggest problem for the Defense Forces is enemy UAVs of all types. Rain and heavy fog significantly complicate the work of Ukrainian drones, so the enemy is trying to take advantage of this and is advancing more actively with small groups of infantry.
Commenting on the situation in Kupiansk, the spokesman noted that this city has more political significance for the enemy.
"If earlier it was referred to as a railway junction, now it is more likely to be the largest city in the Kharkiv region, where the so-called referendum was held - even before they fled from there. Therefore, it would be so nice for them to return here. Moreover, judging by how actively Putin himself lies about Kupiansk, they really want to show that they are advancing in a number of directions at once, including a major advance in the Kharkiv region," the spokesman said.
According to Trehubov, with the onset of cold weather, the Russian offensive is unlikely to change, although it will be more difficult for the infantry to move in the frost.

As reported by Ukrinform, the day before, soldiers of the 57th separate motorized infantry brigade of the 16th army corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine neutralized Russian invaders who were trying to raise their flag over a building in Vovchansk, Kharkiv region
