IDF harm four foreign activists in occupied West Bank
(MENAFN) Local sources reported that the Israeli military launched a major arrest operation in the occupied West Bank on Sunday, coinciding with attacks by illegal settlers targeting Palestinians and foreign activists.
Three Italian and one Canadian activist were wounded in Ein ad-Duyuk village near Jericho while living in solidarity with local Palestinian residents. Authorities said three suffered moderate injuries and one was critically injured, requiring hospitalization.
The activists’ residence, a house in a Bedouin community, was stormed by illegal settlers who assaulted the occupants and attempted to seize their passports, phones, and personal belongings, along with property from the home.
In other incidents, illegal settlers reportedly destroyed four Palestinian-owned vehicles in eastern Salfit and vandalized properties in the al-Masoudieh area of Nablus, according to local sources. The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission documented 766 attacks on Palestinians and their property by illegal settlers in the West Bank during October alone.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces detained four individuals in two Nablus villages, one of whom was injured, and fired tear gas at residents in al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, causing several people to suffer from suffocation. In Ramallah, three Palestinians were taken into custody during a military raid, while in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of East Jerusalem, a young Palestinian was detained after being beaten by soldiers.
