President Guarantees Emergency Powers Won't Be Misused
(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has assured the public that the recently enacted emergency regulations, aimed at providing legal and financial safeguards, will not be misused for any purpose other than efficient reconstruction.
In a national address, the President emphasized that the emergency regulations were introduced to implement a rapid and well-coordinated plan to restore sectors severely affected by recent crises.
Under these regulations, a Commissioner-General of Essential Services has been appointed to centralize and oversee all operations, ensuring a streamlined and effective response.
