I am an Associate Professor in the Department of English, Theatre, Film and Media at the University of Manitoba, where I serve as the Coordinator of the Film Studies program. I am the co-author of the book, Yiddish Cinema: The Drama of Troubled Communication (State University of New York Press, 2023), as well as the author of numerous essays on global cinema, film theory, and modernist literature. At the University of Manitoba, I regularly teach a course on cinema and Israel/Palestine - among several courses on global cinemas - and I am a member of the Judaic Studies Program.
