UAE: Sheikh Mohamed Remembers 'Immense Sacrifice' Of Martyrs On Commemoration Day

As the nation marks Commemoration Day on November 30, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan remembered "those who gave their lives for the UAE with courage and pride."

The leader recognised the "immense sacrifice" of the martyrs and their families. "Dedication and service continue to safeguard our beloved nation," he added.

Upholding the progress and prosperity of UAE also stands as an "enduring tribute to our heroes, and we pray for them to rest in eternal peace", Sheikh Mohamed said.

Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who also serves as UAE's Vice President and Prime Minister, also recalled the martyr's "immortal stance." The nation stands in "reverence for the sacrifices of those who offered their lives in redemption for the homeland".

Their strength and resolve continues to elevate the UAE flag, he added. He wished for glory on the martyrs, and "honour, dignity and pride" for the nation.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence honoured the men "who stood true to their oath and gave everything to keep our flag flying high"

"Their noble memory lives on as a symbol of sacrifice, loyalty and devotion to the nation," he added.

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE's Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, pledged that the martyrs' "memory will remain eternal".

"The flag of the Emirates will remain high and fluttering with the resolve of its loyal sons," he added.
