Turkey, Saudi Arabia sign MoU for Halal cooperation


(MENAFN) According to reports, Türkiye’s Halal Accreditation Agency (HAK) and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on halal cooperation during the World Halal Summit on Wednesday.

The event, which runs from November 26 to 29 in Istanbul, also includes the Halal Expo and brings together global industry participants under the theme “Strengthening Halal Industry via Innovation and Excellence.” The summit is organized under the Turkish presidency, in cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Turkish Trade Ministry, and the Halal Accreditation Agency, with Anadolu serving as the global communications partner.

The MoU outlines collaboration in several areas, including sharing expertise in halal products, promoting mutual visits and meetings, organizing programs, training courses, seminars, and workshops, and exchanging information regarding participation in international conferences, forums, and events.
