Turkish Series "Deha" Clinches Award at International Emmy Awards


(MENAFN) The Turkish television drama Deha (The Good & The Bad) claimed the Telenovela accolade at the International Emmy Awards on Monday.

The 53rd edition of the International Emmy Awards, organized by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to honor productions created outside the United States, took place in New York City.

Broadcast on Türkiye’s Show TV and produced by Ay Yapim, Deha brought a major success to Türkiye in a category that also included nominees from Brazil and Spain.

Aras Bulut Iynemli, one of the leading actors, shared with a news agency that he had not anticipated feeling so thrilled, adding: “It’s the work of a huge team. We came here as a small group, but I always say it’s a massive team effort. We are here on behalf of all our colleagues. Thank you so much, I’m very excited.”

Director Umut Aral remarked that representing Türkiye among numerous countries and winning the award was an indescribable experience, emphasizing that they accepted it on behalf of everyone who contributed to the series.

Screenwriter Damla Serim also called the moment “a wonderful feeling,” expressing: “Thank you, it’s very beautiful and a great source of pride.”

The presence of the production team in New York underscored Deha’s rising international recognition and once again highlighted Türkiye’s achievements within the global television industry.
