Stefani Langehennig

Stefani Langehennig is an Assistant Professor of the Practice in the Business Information & Analytics Department at the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business. Her research and teaching sit at the intersection of data science, public policy, and democratic accountability. She studies how AI is reshaping policymaking and how innovations in transparency – what scholars call monitory democracy – are transforming the relationship between governments and the public. As co-director of the Center for Analytics and Innovation with Data (CAID), she leads projects that apply computational methods to evaluate legislation and track AI policymaking across U.S. states. Previously, she served as a Lead Data Scientist at ICF, advising U.S., U.K., and E.U. agencies on predictive analytics and policy evaluation, and as a postdoctoral researcher at Birkbeck, University of London.
