Astana: The third round of political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Kazakhstan was held yesterday in Astana.

Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs H E Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi chaired the State of Qatar's side, while Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan H E Alibek Bakayev chaired Kazakhstan's side.

The consultations round discussed relations between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them.

Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Kazakhstan H E Abdullah bin Hussein Al Jaber, Director of Asian Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs H E Al Johara bint Yousef Al Obaidan Fakhro, and the accompanying delegation attended the consultations round.

Meanwhile Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs H E Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi also met yesterday in Astana with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan H E Yermek Kosherbayev.

During the meeting, cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them were reviewed, in addition to a number of topics of common interest. The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Kazakhstan H E Abdullah bin Hussein Al Jaber, Director of the Asian Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs H E Al Johara bint Yousef Al Obaidan Fakhro, and the accompanying delegation.
