Turkish Tech Hub Launches FINEXT 2025
(MENAFN) Dijitalpark Teknokent, a prominent technology development hub in Turkey, has unveiled the 2025 edition of its thematic financial technologies initiative, FINEXT, aimed at enhancing and supporting local startup ventures.
According to a press release from the Teknokent on Tuesday, the program, which attracted significant interest last year, intends to cultivate new fintech “unicorns” this year.
For context, a unicorn refers to a privately held startup company with a valuation exceeding $1 billion.
Highlighting the growth of the fintech sector, the announcement noted that the global fintech market reached $218.8 billion last year, while the Turkish fintech market alone was valued at $194 million in 2024, encompassing more than 900 fintech firms.
Through the FINEXT program, startups participate in an accelerator initiative to create solutions capable of generating global impact in financial technologies.
The program features a 14-week acceleration journey designed specifically for entrepreneurs seeking to commercialize innovative ideas in the financial technology space.
Participating startups gain access to a wide range of support, including mentorship, mini-MBA courses, investor meetings, cloud infrastructure assistance, and international collaboration networks.
Tahsin Engin, general manager of Dijitalpark Teknokent, emphasized at Tuesday’s opening ceremony: "With new startups, we can say that Türkiye has become a financial technologies hub.”
