National Service Recruits Training Launches Second Edition

Doha, Qatar: Within the framework of implementing the joint cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Municipality and the Ministry of Defence, the activities of the second edition of the National Service Recruits Training Programme were launched yesterday.

The programme, from November 17 to December 16, 2025, aims at enhancing the readiness of Qatari recruits and raising their technical and cognitive efficiency in the mechanical and technical fields in a way that enhances their role in serving the nation, and enhancing integration between government agencies to build qualified national cadres Contributes to achieving sustainable development in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

This came during an introductory meeting held for national service recruits. In the presence of Eng Abdullah Ahmed Al-Karani, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Services Affairs at the Ministry of Municipality, and Colonel Abdullah Badr Kafoud, Senior Teacher at the National Service Academy.

Sharida Sultan Al Rumaihi, Director of the Mechanical Equipment Department, Farida Al Raisi, Director of the Training Department, and a number of leaders of the Public Services Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Municipality, were also present.

On the part of the Ministry of Defence, represented by the National Service Academy, Lieutenant Thamer Ali Al-Rumaihi, Head of the Training Division, and Lieutenant Ahmed Nasser Al Thani, Supervisor of the Recruits, in addition to the presence of Qatari recruits.

Addressing the event, Al-Karani said that the Programme comes within the framework of implementing the joint cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Municipality, represented by the Public Services Affairs Sector, and the Ministry of Defence, represented by the National Service Academy Which aims to enhance the readiness of Qatari recruits with advanced technical and practical skills in mechanical fields related to public services.

He stressed that this cooperation reflects the integration of roles between government agencies and their joint support for building the capabilities of Qatari youth and qualifying them to serve the nation with high efficiency. Noting that Qatari recruits are a national wealth and a supporting force for the country's development process.

Al-Karani Explained that the training programme was designed to be a qualitative programme that combines the military discipline that recruits receive in their camps, and the practical field experience that they will receive in the public services affairs sector, especially in mechanical equipment management, which enhances their readiness and establishes scalable practical skills.

He added that the Ministry of Municipality is keen to integrate the concepts of sustainability and environmental protection into the programme.
