Landslide buries bus in central Vietnam, leaving six dead

(MENAFN) A rain-triggered landslide in Vietnam’s Khanh Hoa province buried a passenger bus under rocks and soil on Sunday night, killing six people and injuring 19, according to local outlet VNexpress.

The vehicle, which carried 32 occupants including two drivers and an assistant, was hit while traveling through a landslide-prone stretch of the Khanh Le Pass, leaving its front section badly crushed and multiple passengers trapped.

Heavy rainfall delayed rescuers, who reached the scene after midnight. Four bodies have been recovered, while two others remain buried as search efforts continue.

The 19 injured passengers were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
