Egypt Opened Transportation Expo With Notable Int'l Participation

(MENAFN- Nam News Network) CAIRO, Nov 10 (NNN-MENA) – Egypt opened the 6th International Exhibition and Conference on Intelligent Transport, Infrastructure, Logistics, and Industry (TransMEA 2025), in Cairo, yesterday, with the country's industrial and transportation ambitions taking centre stage.

The three-day event, inaugurated by Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, brings together approximately 500 companies from around 30 countries, reflecting Egypt's position as the Middle East and Africa's premier platform for showcasing cutting-edge solutions, in digital infrastructure, sustainable logistics, and next-generation transport systems.

The inauguration saw several significant announcements, underlining Egypt's rapid development in smart mobility, as Madbouly gave the signal to begin the trial operation of the first phase of the nation's high-speed electric train line, linking the Red Sea port city of Ain Sokhna, east of Cairo, with the north-western Mediterranean port city of Marsa Matrouh.

In his remarks, Madbouly said, Egypt is witnessing unprecedented progress in both local manufacturing and transport infrastructure, describing them as the twin engines of sustainable national development, and the push towards a productive, export-oriented economy.

The exhibition featured a section dedicated to the industrial sector, emphasising deepening local manufacturing of transport components, reducing dependence on imports, and connecting local suppliers with major international producers.

“This is our first time participating in the exhibition, and we are here looking for investment opportunities, because the Egyptian market is extremely promising,” said Wang Qundi, sales manager for a Chinese company working in tire manufacturing.

She said, the cooperation between China and Egypt, especially within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, opens doors for collaboration between companies from the two countries.– NNN-MENA
