Wenzhong Huang

Wenzhong completed his PhD in December 2024 at Monash University and holds a Master's degree in public health from Sun Yat-sen University (2018).
Wenzhong's principal research focus is the assessment of the global and regional health impacts of extreme climate events (mainly tropical cyclones), as well as the systematic elucidation of the underlying drivers of their health effects.
Since 2020, he has contributed to the publication of more than 60 peer-reviewed articles, including studies as the first author in journals such as The BMJ, Lancet Planetary Health (×3), Science Advances, PLOS Medicine, The Lancet Regional Health–Western Pacific, and Environmental Health Perspectives; as well as articles where he was among the top three authors in top-tier journals like The Lancet, The innovation, Nature Sustainability, Nature Water, JAMA Pediatrics, and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
