Türkiye Achieves Record October Exports


(MENAFN) Turkey’s exports reached $24 billion in October, marking a 2.3% increase compared to the same month last year, the Turkish trade minister revealed on Tuesday.

Speaking at a press briefing in Istanbul, Omer Bolat stated that the nation achieved its “highest October exports” and set a new milestone, with total exports hitting $270.2 billion over the past 12 months.

From January to October, the country’s exports also reached $224.6 billion, reflecting a 3.9% rise year-on-year.

Meanwhile, imports in October grew by 6.6%, totaling $31.4 billion, which resulted in a foreign trade deficit of $7.4 billion for the month.

For the January-October period, the country recorded a foreign trade deficit of $74.4 billion.
