14 Khyber Police Officials Suspended Over Corruption, Drug Smuggling And Illegal Activities
In a major disciplinary action aimed at ensuring transparency, accountability, and professional conduct, the Capital City Police Peshawar has suspended 14 police officials from Khyber district for their alleged involvement in corruption, drug smuggling, and other illegal activities.
According to the police spokesperson, the suspension orders were issued under the directives of CCPO Peshawar, Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed. The suspended officials have been instructed to report to the Khyber District Police Lines immediately.
He further stated that four Station House Officers (SHOs) have been served show-cause notices for poor supervision and negligence in their duties. Additionally, the District Police Officer (DPO) Khyber has been asked to submit a written explanation within seven days.

He added that the performance of police officers and personnel is being continuously monitored to ensure the protection of lives and property, the maintenance of law and order, and to make the policing process more transparent, strong, and effective.
