Andrew Mcinnes
- Reader in Romanticisms, Edge Hill University

I am a specialist in Romantic period writing, children's literature, and Gothic fiction. I have published widely on these topics, including my first book Wollstonecraft's Ghost: The Fate of the Female Philosopher in the Romantic Period (Routledge, 2017). I am an Arts and Humanities Research Council Early Career Leadership fellow in the project, The Romantic Ridiculous, taking Romantic Studies from the sublime to the ridiculous by looking at the funny side of writers and artists famed for taking themselves very seriously. I am also Co-Director of EHU Nineteen: Edge Hill University's Centre for Nineteenth-Century Studies.
