(MENAFN- GetNews) The Ceremony for Worshiping Xuanyuan Huangdi at Xiandu, China in the Yisi Year (2025) was held on October 29 at the Huangdi Ancestral Temple in Xiandu, Jinyun County, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province. More than 400 participants gathered at the foot of Dinghu Peak in the Xiandu Scenic Area to jointly worship Xuanyuan Huangdi, the humanistic ancestor of the Chinese nation.

This worship ceremony was hosted by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province and undertaken by the People's Government of Jinyun County, with the theme of "Uniting as One to Worship the Ancestor, Writing a New Chapter for Common Prosperity". It consisted of 9 rituals, including long horns sounding to the sky, drum beating and bell ringing,offering high incense, presenting flower baskets, offering wine, reciting the worship text, bowing, singing praises, and performing ritual music and dances to pay tribute.

Jinyun County was established in the first year of Wansui Dengfeng during the Wu Zhou Dynasty (696 AD), and the local worship of Huangdi has been documented in historical records since the Eastern Jin Dynasty. In 1998, Jinyun County reconstructed the Huangdi Ancestral Temple and resumed the Huangdi worship activities. Jinyun County is the center for Huangdi worship in southern China, as well as the radiation center, research center and exhibition center for Huangdi culture in southern China.

In recent years, the local area has deeply explored and promoted the Huangdi culture, and has organized a total of more than 6,000 compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan as well as overseas Chinese to participate in on-site root-seeking and ancestor-worship activities such as the Huangdi Worship Ceremony.
