Vietnam, Australia Ink MoU to Boost FTA Collaboration
(MENAFN) Vietnam and Australia signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Monday aimed at enhancing collaboration to help businesses maximize the advantages of free trade agreements (FTAs), a Vietnamese news agency reported.
The agreement commits both nations to assisting Vietnamese enterprises in leveraging FTAs more effectively, while underscoring their shared dedication to strengthening a comprehensive strategic partnership.
At the signing ceremony, Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Gillian Bird said: "The MoU demonstrates growing long-term strategic trust between the two countries, helping expand market access and foster sustainable growth."
The MoU was finalized during a workshop organized by Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade, focused on creating an ecosystem to support businesses in fully benefiting from FTAs.
According to the ministry, the planned ecosystem will act as an integrated network linking stakeholders throughout the value chain. It aims to boost competitiveness, promote public-private collaboration, and optimize FTA-derived opportunities.
