Father Sets Son's Cricket Kit Ablaze Over Alleged Nepotism In PCB' Khyber Trials
A father in Landi Kotal staged a dramatic protest against alleged nepotism during the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) Khyber District selection trials for Under-19, Under-17, and Under-15 players.
Amir Nawaz Shinwari, father of young cricketer Shah Fahad Amir, set his son's cricket gear on fire at Bacha Khan Chowk in Landi Kotal Bazaar, accusing the selectors of ignoring deserving players.
Visibly distressed, Amir Nawaz doused the cricket kit in petrol and set it ablaze, claiming that PCB's District Khyber selectors, particularly Taimoor Afridi, chose players on the basis of favouritism rather than merit.

He appealed to PCB's higher authorities to investigate the alleged irregularities in the selection process and ensure that merit is upheld so that genuine talent from Khyber District can get fair opportunities.
