Moldovan Parliament Endorses New Government
(MENAFN) The Moldovan legislature approved the composition of the new government on Friday through a majority vote, as reported by a media outlet.
The Cabinet, headed by Alexandru Munteanu, secured parliamentary confidence with backing from 55 deputies belonging to the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) faction.
Munteanu emphasized that his administration would focus on economic development, operational efficiency, and European integration.
He stated, "We have a unique chance to bring Moldova into the European Union and be the government of European integration."
Key objectives of the new government include finalizing EU accession negotiations by 2028, increasing wages and pensions, upgrading hospitals and schools, attracting up to €4 billion ($4.6 billion) in investment, supporting 25,000 enterprises, promoting Moldovan products, and broadening access to European markets.
