Three Palestinians Get Killed from Israeli Raid in Jenin

(MENAFN) Three Palestinians lost their lives after being shot by Israeli forces in Jenin, located in the northern West Bank, on Tuesday, according to a statement from the Palestinian Health Ministry.

The ministry identified the victims from Kafr Qud town in northern Jenin as Abdullah Jalamneh, aged 27; Qais Al-Bitawi, 21; and Ahmad Nasherati, 29.

An official Palestinian news agency, citing local witnesses, reported that Israeli troops entered the town with additional military support, encircled an agricultural area, and opened fire on three young men.

The news agency further stated that Israeli forces took possession of the victims’ bodies after the shooting.

The agency added that following the incident, the Israeli army attacked a vehicle nearby, igniting a blaze that spread to several olive trees.

Earlier the same day, locals informed a media outlet that they heard heavy gunfire close to Kafr Qud, succeeded by an Israeli airstrike targeting a cave and a vehicle in the same vicinity. They also noted that Israeli troops later retrieved the bodies from the location.

The Israeli military acknowledged the assault, asserting that it was directed at “a terrorist cell.”

According to their statement, three individuals were killed — one during the airstrike — and another sustained injuries.

A correspondent from the media outlet indicated that this marks the first Israeli airstrike in the occupied West Bank in the past nine months.
