Compounding the crisis, accessing the devastated neighborhoods is nearly impossible due to the severe instability. The statement elaborated, “It remains difficult to access the affected areas due to the complete security collapse caused by the RSF.”
This news follows fierce fighting between the rebel faction and the Sudanese army, which erupted in the city on Sunday, as reported by the civilian-led El-Fasher Resistance Committees.
