Gunman Shoots Dead Two Soldiers in Syria
(MENAFN) Two Syrian military personnel perished following an assault by unknown assailants in the nation's northern region, officials confirmed.
The deadly incident occurred Sunday in proximity to Al-Bab city, located east of Aleppo, according to a statement from the Defense Ministry's Media and Communications Directorate published by Syrian media
Authorities are conducting a probe to determine the perpetrators' identities, the statement added.
The Syrian government has mounted substantial campaigns to reestablish nationwide security following the December 2024 collapse of the Bashar al-Assad regime, which had maintained control for nearly 25 years.
