(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Oct 24 (KUNA) -- Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi on Friday affirmed particular concern for boosting inclusive medical prevention and educational programs at the local level.
The minister was speaking at the inaugural session of the Second Kuwait Dental Implants and Periodontics Symposium, organized by Kuwait Dental Association, grouping elite Kuwaiti and non-Kuwaiti doctors and specialists.
Treating mouth and gum diseases is not a cosmetic issue; rather a condition linked to other diseases such as diabetes, cardiac illnesses, health of the heart and arteries, the minister said, alluding to state-of-art inventions in treating such conditions with employment of digital printing and 3-d imaging.
Dr. Bsais Al-Ajmi, the association president, said the conference was fruit of years of cooperation involving diverse authorities in the field.
The two-day symposium features lectures, workshops presenting top specialists from Kuwait and foreign countries. (end)
