(MENAFN) Turkish defense companies will take part in the International Defense Fair and Conference (SIDEC) in Slovenia, running from Oct. 22-24, the SAHA Istanbul defense and aerospace cluster announced Monday.

The Turkish Pavilion, led by the Defense Industries Secretariat, will host member companies including Aselsan, Roketsan, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), and Sarsilmaz. The fair features 165 companies from 19 countries and is one of Europe’s major defense and aerospace events.

SAHA Istanbul will focus on promoting Türkiye’s industrial capabilities, strengthening technology networks, and forging strategic partnerships in Europe. B2B meetings will cover joint production, technology sharing, and supply chain integration, building the cluster’s industrial diplomacy and supporting the export-oriented growth of the Turkish defense sector.

SIDEC 2025 also serves as a lead-up to SAHA 2026, Türkiye’s largest defense, aerospace, and space industry fair, scheduled in Istanbul from May 5-9, 2026. SAHA 2026 aims to attract over 1,478 companies from 120 countries with a business volume exceeding $6 billion.

Additionally, SAHA Istanbul will promote IAC 2026 Antalya, the International Astronautical Congress, marking the first time Türkiye will host the event in collaboration with the Turkish Space Agency and SAHA MUEK. European space technology companies will be engaged for participation and sponsorship opportunities.
