FM of Turkey to attend EU Foreign Affairs Council summit in Luxembourg


(MENAFN) Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will visit Luxembourg for two days starting Sunday to participate in the EU Foreign Affairs Council’s ministerial session on cross-regional security and connectivity, according to Turkish diplomatic sources.

Fidan is set to join the session titled Security, Stability and Resilience in the Black Sea Region, which will focus on the strategic significance of the Black Sea, ongoing geopolitical developments, and regional security dynamics.

Attendees will include EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, foreign ministers of EU member states, as well as representatives from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Moldova, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.

Fidan previously attended similar sessions in Brussels on August 29, 2024, and in Warsaw on May 8, 2025, as part of informal EU foreign ministers’ meetings, known as Gymnich gatherings.
