Ukrainian Defense Forces Strike Oil And Gas Refineries And Fuel Depot In Russia


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

In the Samara region, the Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery came under attack. Preliminary data indicate that the facility's crude oil distillation units (ELOU AVT) were hit. Explosions were recorded on the site, and a fire is ongoing.

The refinery produces more than 20 types of commercial products, with an annual primary refining capacity of 4.9 million tons.

“The extent of the damage is being clarified. The facility is involved in meeting the needs of the Russian army,” the General Staff reported.

Another target was the Orenburg Gas Processing Plant, one of the largest of its kind in Russia. The enterprise has the capacity to process up to 45 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 6.2 million tons of gas condensate or crude oil annually.

Preliminary reports indicate that one of the gas treatment and processing units at the Orenburg facility was hit. Explosions and a large fire were recorded at the site.

As for the fuel and lubricant storage facility in Berdiansk, information indicates explosions in the target area and a subsequent fire at the site.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on the night of October 16, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck the Saratov Oil Refinery.
