"The planned meeting between the American and Russian presidents is great news for the peace-loving people of the world. We are ready! – Orban said.

In an interview published by the Hungarian Foreign Ministry today, the prime minister said he would meet with Donald Trump soon, but did not specify where. "“We already have a date, and we've agreed on about 80 percent of the topics to be discussed. Once the remaining 20 percent is settled, we'll announce the meeting together with the Americans,” he said.

According to Orban, the topic of future talks with Trump will be economic issues, specifically, avoiding double taxation with the US.

As Ukrinform reported, on the eve of the meeting with Zelensky, Trump had a telephone conversation with Putin, after which he said that he would meet with Putin in Budapest to discuss the possibility of ending Russia-Ukraine war.
