Israel Announces Reopening Rafah Crossing

(MENAFN) Israel has made the decision to resume operations at the Rafah border crossing, located in the southern area of the Gaza Strip, as reported by regional media outlets.

According to a national public broadcaster, “the political echelon” chose to reopen the Rafah crossing on Wednesday morning.

This move aims to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid into the Gaza enclave.

The reopening follows the return of four additional bodies of Israeli hostages by the Palestinian faction Hamas on Tuesday evening.

The broadcaster further mentioned that another four bodies are anticipated to be handed over by Hamas in the following hours.
