
Qatar Men's Beach Volleyball Team Ranks 2Nd Globally
Doha, Qatar: The Qatari men's beach volleyball team, composed of duo Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan, has advanced to 2nd place in world rankings issued by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Tuesday.
The Qatari team made this jump in ranking with 7,480 points, affirming their prominent standing on the global stage.
This development comes after a series of strong performances in international tournaments, where the duo won eight gold medals this season across various competitions, a testament to the significant development of Qatari beach volleyball in recent years.
The updated world rankings also saw changes in top positions, with Norwegian duo Christian Sorum and Anders Mol topping the rankings with 8,600 points, while Dutch duo Boermans and De Groot claimed 3rd place with 7,340 points.
