Victoria Souliman is Lecturer in French and Francophone Studies at the University of Sydney, and Adjunct Lecturer in the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at the University of New England, Australia. She completed her PhD in Art History at the University of Sydney and Université Paris Cité in 2019. Her research focuses on issues of national identity, expatriatism and women's agency in the artistic exchanges between Australia, France and Britain in the early 20th century. She also has a particular interest in the representation of female subjectivity in contemporary visual culture. Prior to joining the discipline of French and Francophone Studies, she lectured in Art History at the University of Sydney.
