
Afghanistan's Exports Surpass $230M Mark Last Month
KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan exported goods worth 230 million US dollars and imported goods worth 1.232.7 billion during the past one month, the National Statistics and Information Authority said on Monday.
In a statement, NSIA wrote Afghanistan made trade transactions worth $1.462.7 billion with a number of countries during the last month of 1404 solar year.
According to the statement, the total value of Afghanistan's exports reached $229.8 million from August 23 to September 23, but from July 23 to August 22, the exports increased by $84.9 million.
It said the value of Afghanistan's imports from August 23 to September 22 stood at $1.232.7 billion, but from July 23 to August 22, there was an increase of $37 million.
Afghanistan made exports to India, Pakistan, the United Arabic Emirates (UAE) and Turkey and most of the goods were imported from Iran, China, UAE and Pakistan.
NSIA said the export figures include both exports and re-exports, while import figures cover all taxable and non-taxable imports, excluding imported electricity.
