Postdoctoral Researcher, Galway Honey Bee Research Center,
University of Galway
I've graduated from Veterinary University in 2015 at the University of Padua, Italy. After that I've obtained a PhD at the Institute of Bee Health at the University of Bern, Switzerland in 2021. My project was centered around the study of the host-parasite coevolution between the Western honey bee and its major parasite, Varroa destructor. I'm currently working as a PostDoc, funded by Research Ireland, at the Zoology Department of the University of Galway, where I'm studying free-living honey bee colonies.
