Magnitude 7 Earthquake Hits Drake Passage
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) A strong 7 magnitude earthquake struck the Drake Passage late Friday, according to the German Research Center for Geosciences.
The quake occurred in the body of water between South America's Cape Horn and Antarctica, at roughly 20:29GMT at a depth of 10 kilometers.
There are no confirmed reports of damage or casualties, with the US Geological Survey confirming that no tsunami alert has been issued so far.
