(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook , publishing its operational update as of 08:00 Friday, October 10, according to Ukrinform.

On October 9, the enemy carried out strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements using 161 guided aerial bombs and launched 4,252 kamikaze drones. Russian forces also conducted 4,146 artillery strikes, about 100 of them with multiple launch rocket systems.

Russian airstrikes hit, in particular, the areas of Pidlyman in the Kharkiv region, Sloviansk and Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region, and Zaporizhzhia in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Ukrainian missile and artillery forces struck two areas of Russian troop concentrations.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, ten combat engagements were recorded. The enemy carried out ten airstrikes, dropping 28 guided bombs, and conducted 140 shelling attacks, including four with multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, 30 clashes took place near Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Stroivka, Zapadne, Dovhenke and Kamianka, as well as towards Dvorichne, Kolodiazne, and Bolohivka.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops attempted nine assaults near Stepova Novoselivka, Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, and Ivanivka.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy launched 14 attacks, attempting to advance near Kopanky, Karpivka, Kolodiazi, Novoselivka, and towards Stavky.

In the Sloviansk sector, 17 Russian assaults targeted Ukrainian positions near Yampil, Serebrianka, Novoselivka, Vyimka, and Pereizne.

In the Kramatorsk sector, three engagements took place near Chasiv Yar and Orikhovo-Vasylivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces conducted 23 attacks near Bila Hora, Shcherbynivka, Rusyn Yar, Poltavka, and towards Pleshchiivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 72 attacks near Volodymyrivka, Novotoretske, Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Sukhetske, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Novoserhiivka, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Kotliarivka, Orikhove, and Filiia.

In the Oleksandrohrad sector, 44 assaults were repelled near Ivanivka, Piddubne, Oleksandrohrad, Sichneve, Sosnivka, Vorone, Berezove, Novovasylivske, Novohryhorivka, Malynivka, and Poltavka.

In the Huliaipole sector, no offensive actions were reported.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian troops made four attempts to advance near Stepove, Kamianske, and towards Novoandriivka.

In the Dnipro River sector, the enemy made four unsuccessful attempts to storm Ukrainian positions.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors. no signs of Russian offensive group formation were detected.
