
Explosions Heard In Kabul, Taliban Say Situation Under Control
Explosions were heard in Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, on Thursday, but the Taliban government confirmed that the situation is under control and no casualties have been reported.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that“an explosion was heard in Kabul city, but there is no cause for concern, everything is fine.”
He added that investigations are underway to determine the cause and exact location of the explosion.

Meanwhile, AFP journalists reported hearing two blasts in the capital. Some sources suggested that Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Mufti Noor Wali Mehsud remained unharmed in the incident.
Afghan authorities have yet to release further details.
