China, India Set to Restart Direct Flights

(MENAFN) China and India are set to resume direct flights before the end of this month, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun announced on Thursday.

Guo stated during a routine press briefing that this development is the most recent outcome of the sincere efforts by both sides to implement the key agreement reached between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at their meeting in Tianjin on August 31.

He underscored that this development represents a constructive effort to promote friendly interactions between the more than 2.8 billion people of China and India.

Looking at the bigger picture, Guo expressed China’s willingness to collaborate with India by approaching their bilateral relationship with a strategic and long-term mindset, aiming to become good neighbors and partners who support each other’s success for the benefit of both populations, while also contributing to peace and stability in Asia and beyond.
