Tunis: Arab Sec. Conference Reaffirms Counter-Terrorism Coop.

TUNIS, Oct 9 (KUNA) -- The 28th Arab Conference of Officials Responsible for Combating Terrorism, held on Thursday at the General Secretariat headquarters of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunis, emphasized the need to strengthen information exchange and enhance cooperation among Arab countries to prevent terrorist operations.
Chaired by Kuwait, the conference called for taking the necessary measures to address emerging developments in the field of terrorism, the General Secretariat said in a statement.
The participants in the conference expressed their condemnation of the terrorist attacks targeting the Palestinian people in the occupied territories, statement added.
The conference, held at the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, brought together counter-terrorism officials from Arab interior ministries, including Kuwait, with the participation of the Arab Experts Team on Counter-Terrorism, the League of Arab States, and others relevant bodies.
Kuwait was represented by Brigadier General Dabbous Mohammad Al-Dabbous, Lieutenant Mohammad Al-Amir, and Major Mohammad Al-Osaimi. (end)
