Dr. Kampouri is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, the Department of Chemistry, and the Rice Advanced Materials Institute (RAMI) at Rice University. Dr. Kampouri joined Rice University in 2024, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. She is also a joint Assistant Professor in Chemistry. She earned her B.S./M.S. in Environmental and Chemical Engineering at the Technical University of Crete (TUC) in 2015. In 2020, she completed her Ph.D. in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering with Professors Berend Smit and Kyriakos Stylianou at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL). Her doctoral research focused on optimizing photocatalytic systems based on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), for hydrogen production and water remediation. Following this, she joined the research group of Professor Mircea Dincă in the Department of Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a Postdoctoral Researcher to work on the design of new conductive MOFs.
