Crown Prince receives winners of Al Hussein Award
(MENAFN) HRH Crown Prince Hussein met on Monday with the recipients of the 2024 Al Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for voluntary service at Al Husseiniya Palace.
During the gathering, the Crown Prince praised the winners for their initiatives, highlighting the positive impact they are making across various sectors of Jordanian society, according to a statement from the Royal Court. He also discussed their projects and future plans, encouraging them to contribute ideas to further develop the award program.
The awardees expressed gratitude for the Crown Prince’s dedication to volunteering and his support, which has enabled them to advance their community service efforts.
Launched by His Royal Highness on International Volunteer Day in 2021, the Al Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for voluntary service operates under the Ministry of Youth in partnership with the Crown Prince Foundation and UNICEF. Alongside the Jordanian Volunteerism Charter, the award aims to foster a culture of volunteering, recognize exceptional contributions, and support sustainable development in local communities.
The award covers initiatives in areas including social services, health, education, sports, culture, arts, environment, tourism, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Winners are recognized in four main categories: Best individual volunteer work, Best volunteer team, Best volunteer project for non-profit organizations, and Best volunteer project for corporations.
