Erdogan is expected to go to Azerbaijan for Turkic States meeting


(MENAFN) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled to visit Azerbaijan on Tuesday after being invited by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to participate in the 12th summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), an official confirmed.

Turkish Communications Director Burhanettin Duran shared on the social media platform X on Monday that the summit, which will be held in Gabala under the theme “Regional Peace and Security,” aims to evaluate progress on strengthening the OTS’s institutional structure and enhancing cooperation between member countries.

The program includes the approval of multiple documents and resolutions, including the Gabala Declaration.

The statement noted that President Erdogan is set to join the Council of Heads of State session happening alongside the summit and engage in bilateral discussions with other attending leaders.
